Description jslyster 2002-01-07 12:41:41 UTC
Whenever I load the graphics.doc file available with XBasic into StarOffice 6b or OpenOffice
641, it loads halfway and then crashes.

I've loaded the same file into 641 for Linux using
Mandrake Linux 8.1; it crashes there also.

Download the file listed under "URL" and unzip it;
only the graphics.doc file has given me trouble in OpenOffice.

MRU->CMC: I can only see the crash with the OpenOffice641. The src641z
throws an Assert "Too few lines, table ended early" and after loading
it seems to be caught in a loop. This worked in SO5.2. Maybe file an
internal bug to get it for final?
Comment 4 michael.ruess 2002-01-09 11:10:57 UTC
MRU->CMC: 'It looks like, that the "Loop" is only a performance
problem when generating the index table. I carry the problem to OS/JP.

Looks like the same to me, the too few rows assert is fixed as
#96345#, so the hang is somewhere in pagination.
Comment 6 michael.ruess 2002-01-14 11:56:43 UTC
Yes, as OS & JP found out, it is a performanc problem. This will be
fixed in the next OpenOffice build.
Comment 7 michael.ruess 2002-11-28 16:26:16 UTC
Fix available in OpenOffice 643C
