The error message is: "soffice.exe has generated errors and will be closed by 
windows.  You will need to restart the program.  An error log is being 
created."  I'm trying to run the Star Office Beta 6.0 on Windows 2000, on a SGI 
320.  Unsuccessful right from initial instal.

On my Win2000 machine I have no problem to run OOo 641.
Please give me a little more information:
- what filesystem are you using
- what hardware configuration do you have
- a step by step description of your installation would be helpfull
