Create a document as attached:

Enter six values in B3:C5

Combine two cells at a time per row, without moving content of the hidden
cells:  B3:C3 and B4:C4

Combine two cells at a time per row:  E3:F3 and E4:F4

Select E3:F5 and enter the matrix formula {=B3:C5}

Save in XML format and reload: of the matrix formula only E3:F3 are combined
cells now, E4:F4 are not.

Found fixed on Master src680m62 using Linux, Solaris and Windows Build
