Description rblackeagle 2001-12-30 19:20:59 UTC
On installing 641c, Autocheck marks all words of a document as misspelled. A
search shows that the dictioanries are installed in
/root/OpenOffice.org641/../wordbook by ./setup -net. There are no
dictionaries at /home/<user>/OO641C/.../wordbook. I tried to add words from
my document and it didn't do anything when re-running Autocheck. I tried to
change the permissions for the dictionaries to permit user access and still
got no response.

I copied the dictionary files to /home/<user>/OO641C/.../wordbook and changed
ownership to user, reset the pointer for the dictionaries back to
/home/<user>/OO641C/.../wordbook and it finally works fine.

This seems to be an error.

Hi,

I can receate this on my own system. The issue here is that under a
-net install there still exists a "user" subdirectory where the main
OpenOffice.org files were initially installed.

The dictioanry files are incorrectly installed in that
"user/wordbook" (at the main install site) and not the
/home/USERID/OpenOffice.org641/user/wordbook site that the User
Dictionary Path points to (and where I thought it would go).

So a change to the scp code is needed to make sure that correct
"user/wordbook" location is used (the one that the USERID has writer
permissions on).

I need to check with Hamburg if this is an installer issue or my bad
scp patch.

Thanks for the bug report.

Kevin

Hi,

scp patch sent to dev@porting.openoffice.org list in January so all
should be well for the next release.

Thanks for your bug report.

Kevin
