The attached file is a word document containing only a simple MathType formula.
This document cannot be opened in OOo writer when the Load-option "Convert
MathType to OOoMath" is active. OOo writer simply hangs.

The issue was confirmed on the German user list for Linux, MSwin 98, WinXP and
OOo 1.1 and OOo1.1.1RC.

Hi,

I cannot reproduce the crash with 1.1.1.rc1, Win98 SE German, on a system, where
there is also MS-Office 2000 German installed.

I think the problem could have something to do with the fact, - as it seems to
me, that the used font "MT Extra" (MTEXTRA.TTF) is a MS-Office font and
therefore not existent on systems, where MS Office is not installed.

Can you please give more information about the systems, where the document hang?

It hangs on my Win98 (German) OOo1.1 (English). I have installed MSOffice 97 and
the font "MT Extra".

I have now installed OOo1.1.1rc (OO_1.1.1rc_Win32Intel_install.zip) and it hangs
too on opening the file. Please tell me which additional information about my
system you need.

Duplicate to issue 24340. Will be fixed in OO 1.1.2 and next snapshot (maybe
680m30).
