Description robert.kinsella 2001-12-20 19:19:52 UTC
On RedHat 6.2

Opening a rich text format document causes OpenOffice.org to crash with "An
unrecoverable error"
Comment 1 stefan.baltzer 2002-01-15 12:24:51 UTC
Please attach the file and reassign the issue to mru@openoffice.org
Thank you.
Comment 2 Unknown 2002-01-16 05:24:14 UTC
Crashes for me as well, even on an empty RTF. Attaching it.

I'm on Red Hat Linux 7.2 + lots of other updates using the binary
tarballs for build 641C

It looks like OO641 has a problem when running on newer Linux systems.
I could now see the problem on a RedHat 7.1. Others reported the same
on SUSE 7.3 or RedHat 7.2. This issue is related to issue #2606, so I
close this one here.
Newer builds do not seem to have the problem anymore, so I'll have
another look when the next public build will be released.
Comment 8 docb 2002-02-07 16:44:32 UTC
BTW newer releases: is there something newer available than 641c?
Comment 9 michael.ruess 2002-02-08 13:26:48 UTC
No, I'm afraid not. But it can't be too long until release...

Resolved in the Linux 642 build.
Comment 12 bojan 2002-04-03 03:36:53 UTC
The problem has been resolved in 641d too (at least on my box).

Comment 13 michael.ruess 2002-11-07 15:57:03 UTC
Looks, that the problem does not occur on newer OO versions like 1.0
or 1.0.1
R. Kinselle, can you confirm this?
Comment 14 robert.kinsella 2002-11-07 16:30:59 UTC
confirmed, this error does not occur on later version of OpenOffice,
leaving status as closed.
