Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26058
allowing undo of autotext
Last modified: 2004-04-07 21:34:22 UTC
If for example the autocorrection option to automatically begin each cell with capital letters or the option to not allow 2 capitals at the beginning, there is no other way to avoid this behaviour then to switch it off. In my oppinion Excel handles this better. There such changes that are made automatically can be undone be the undo function!
Hi Norbert, this functionality is there. Just type your text and press the spacebar. The autocorrection does it's work. Now press CTRL+z and the changes are undone. Now close the cell and it appears as you would like it. Frank

Why so complicated!? The way Excel handles this is much more intuitive, so there I found it out by just trying. And in OOo-Calc I did not find this...
I just found that the writer also handles this like I wish and Excel already does. And I think it would be better do be equal to the other OOo-application, the writer.
