Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26035
Reproducable crash of Writer
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
Hi, I downloaded the OpenOffice.org Writer "BasisKurs" (german Description) from: http://de.openoffice.org/doc/schulungsmaterial/writer/BasisKursWriter.sxw I opened it with Writer, and changed the Style of Heading1, to not include a page-break before the Heading. (I used the english OpenOffice). I saved the document and reloaded it and scrolled through it. *Always* when I reach page 78, it just hangs with 99% cpu, but does nothing. After the Style-change of the heading, on page 77/bottom there's the image of chapter 26... Oh, I just realised that after doing a "tools->update->all" the crash disappears, but it's not okay for Writer to crash anyway... If you need mor information, feel free to contact me. Yours Timo Teifel
set target OOo later
Created attachment 13555 [details] same document, just a bit shorter
MRU->FME: Already fixed in OO 2.0, but a good candidate for 1.1.2, I think. Just open the document, remove "page break" attribute from style "Heading 1" and start page formatting. Will end up in a Loop.
forgot to reassign
.
Problem analysis: Paragraph A keeps with paragraph B, B has an object anchored to it, object has no-wrap and tries to set its position to the bottom of B. This can leed to loops if there is a page break below A (see new bugdoc, set keep attribute at Heading).
Too risky for a product update on OOo1.1.2. We decided to set this task to OOo2.0.
FME->MRU: Not reproducible in SRC680m33 anymore. Please verify.
Yes, ths is what I already evaluated above. For OO 2.0 it is already fixed. Due to the fact, that a fix for OO 1.1.3 is too risky, this issue becomes closed.
closed, because fixed in current OO 2.0 snapshot.
