Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 25848
copy of outline text formatting lost when saved
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:56 UTC
In Impress, if I want to create outline sections that are part of separate text objects (so I can do effects on them separately, for example), the following procedure does not work correctly: 1. Open a new Impress document with say the blue-and-orange background. Create a new slide with a basic outline. 2. In the outline, enter three bulletted items, call them Item 1, Item 2, and Item 3. 3. Change the formatting of the items, say make them bold. 4. Select the last bullet text copy to clipboard. 5. Paste from clipboard. The text is of now the expected format. This is good. 6. Line up the text over the original, then delete the original. I now have two text objects, one a bulletted list with Items 1 and 2, and one with Item 3. 7. Save, quit, and reload. What I expect to see: What I saw before I quit. What I do see: Item 3 has lost all formatting and is now the application default font. I'm sure there are workarounds, but this shouldn't happen, I should think. Thanks! -Harlan
