TV->ayaniger: We have found out that the Hebrew version of Microsoft Office does
use English symbols for bold, italic and underline. In order to help native
Hebrew users to adapt to OO.o, we think that it is best to keep MS Office
compatibility. What do you think?
Comment 12 Martin Hollmichel 2004-10-15 14:11:25 UTC
retarget.
Comment 13 gilshwartz 2004-11-01 19:47:05 UTC
As a native Hebrew user I agree. There is no need to use specialized Hebrew gif
for BOLD, ITALIC, and UNDERLINE. Keep it compatible and reduce confusion and
maintenance. I also conferred with a friend that pointed out that the B, I and U
are also reminders for the keyboard shortcuts being used for bold, ..., so there
is no sense in using the same letter (Alef) in different visual displays, which
some users may not even notice clearly.
Comment 14 thorsten.ziehm 2005-04-05 14:43:38 UTC
Nothing has happened since some months on this task. It isn't possible, that
something will change in the next days. Therefore I change the target to 'OOo
later'.
When somebody make a decision about the correct bitmaps, then it will be
possible to find a correct target.
Comment 15 alan 2007-04-23 15:12:24 UTC
We are using English bitmaps, instead of Hebrew ones. The issue can be closed.
Comment 16 alan 2007-04-23 15:13:11 UTC
Closing issue.
