Description vkondra 2001-12-17 20:58:25 UTC
Soffice crashes when I do the following:
- start new presentation
- draw empty rectangle
- double-click on rectangle. Cursor changes to 'I'
- type some text
- click outside of rectangle.
(dialog saying unrecoverable error happens)
Expected: add text to the rectangle.

Reassigned to Wolfram.

Bug cannot be reproduced in version 641 or an actual internal
version.

I tested again, deleting all old setup files. Problem remains.
Attached is small shot of dialog, just to confirm I was not dreaming.
Some additional info, if it may help:
Computer: ThinkPad T21, 256 Mb RAM. Video: Savage.
Kernel 2.4.14
glibc 2.2.4
XFree86 4.1.0
Installation is RedHat, most of packages from RawHide.

More interesting bits:
The same experiment with ellipse do not cause error. If, not closing
error dialog, I switch to the original window, I can type text in the
rectangle and this time it do work. When I click OK in dialog, whole
application terminates.

I can't attach gdb to the running application (thread I attach to
immediately get signal and goes to the 'T' state), so no more details.

Any ideas what I can do to provide more details?

Now I got it. I could reproduce the bug on a laptop with Openoffice
version 641. In an actual internal version it does not occur anymore.
Thanks for your help and patience.
