Description capstone737 2004-02-11 04:13:45 UTC
I have had a user present me with a small comma-delimited text file and when it
is opened in Calc, it opens it in Writer as a text file. When it is opened with
Excel97, it opens as a comma-delimited or Fixed-Width file and sets it up in the
spreadsheet correctly. Only by renaming the file as *.csv does OOo know how to
deal with it.

I will attach a copy of the file.

Hi,

forgot to mention that it will work if you choose Text- csv as the filter in the
File Open Dialog.
