Description kelvine 2004-01-30 07:02:10 UTC
Hi,

I am using the Query Design and find that I can't insert a new column in the
middle of existing columns with the Design View on.

It may just be me, but I find this a little frustrating.

So my suggest is to provide the ability to insert a column in between existing
columns in Design View in the Query Designer.

Second to this is to allow dropping a field from the table and have it
inserted between two existing columns.

Sorry if this feature already exists and I just can't find it.

Hi,

I can reproduce this.

As a workaround you can move the columns with D&D.

change subcomponent to 'none'

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I know I can move the columns, but each new column appears at the end.

When there are many columns this is not very friendly. I have to drag the
column multiple times to get to the correct spot.

Thanks again.

You can move the columns with their header, and if you want to insert a column
between others you can move an empty column at the position you want. Tested in
a OOo 2.3.

If this isn't want you want feel free to reopen this issue.

Best regards,

oj
