Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 24880
RTF: Background of bullets is black after import
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
When I import a file with a bullet list from Microsoft Word (I don't know which version since it is a file that somebody sent to me) bullet background are black. If you look at the character style of the bullets (RTF_Num ...) the background is indeed set to black. This is on linux buid 645m18. I included 3 files : a very short rtf file : tmp.rtf a view in Openoffice : OO11_tmp.pdf a view in Word2000 : Word_tmp.pdf I looked in the rtf file. The bullet background is set by the \chcbpat1 command. If you change the 1 to the correct value (8 here for white) the import is ok. This looks like a Word issue since Word simply did not interpret this parameter ! But everybody will think that it is actually a OOo issue.

Reassigned to MRU
MRU->CMC: the character style "RTF NUM 6 1" has black background property after import.
Indeed, word appears to ignore character backgrounds for RTF numbering, so we'll have to do the same :-(. Implemented in workspace borderingfilterteam28 for 2.0
reopen to reassign
cmc->mmaher: I originally checked this fix into the wrong cvs branch, I've recommited to westportfilterteam26, so on next cvs update and build of the rtf filter it should work
back to fixed, because it is, though not built.
reopening
mmaher: this somehow got added to carlow. MRU can you verify this is fixed and this can be clsoed out
Also fixed in CWS carlowfilterteam27.
Verified.
This task is integrated in OOo 2.0 (milestone 680m52). Out of this reason I have to change the target milestone for OOo 2.0.
