Description stevenw 2004-01-22 22:44:42 UTC
I created a personal website sometime ago. Look at the page
http://www.geocities.com/neutro511/nav.html.

Notice how the images are placed immediately one right after the other. Try
creating a page like this in OOo's HTML editor without modifying the code. It
seems to be impossible to me. Also try to make images(make more than one)
hyperlinks to other pages(even if you can't line them up like on the page I
mentioned), save the page close and reopen. Try to modify the hyperlinks to
point to some other page, again without modifying the code itself. This also
seems next to impossible because when I click on the image the app does not
select it, it apparently tries to open the hyperlink!!! This is not practical
for a HTML editor. Clicking on an image should just select it. Opening it
could reasonably be in the right-click context menu.

Hi!

Your submission contains 2 questions:
1) how to place images immediatly one after another
-> insert your images in the HTML document and anchor them "As Character"
(Format - Anchor - As Character). Insert a space or a protected space
(Ctrl+Space) between them.
Notice: for stability reason it is usual to place images in a table.

2) Select an image without executing its hyperlink.
-> press Alt+Left click or toggle the field "HYP" to "SEL" in the status bar.

Please note:
- Your submission was an "How to" question. Before submitting a task in
IssueZilla, be sure your question won't find answer in the user@openoffice.org
mailing list. Ask there before. Be sure it's wether a valuable enhancement or
an obvious bug.
- One problem per issue: we can't handle issues containing multiple problems
for those may be evaluated and fixed by different developpers, for different
priorities and different targets. Those multiple problem issues are closed as
invalid.
