Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 24370
Printing 11x17 Fails
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:16 UTC
When printing to a Panasonic DP-2000 printer, there is no match between the OOo printer settings and the DP-2000's printer settings WRT 11x17 paper. The Panasonic calls 11x17 paper "Ledger". In the OOo printer settings, the closest paper size is called "Tabloid". I even tried to set a custom size of 11x17. When I send the file, nothing prints and the printer reports a "Paper size mismatch". Shouldn't OOo take the paper sizes from the printer instead of using it's own settings?
Hi Stephan, as this affects all Apps I've set the component to framework and assigned it to you, as I think it goes under your responsibilities. Frank
ssa->dv: please, have a look.
Set target.

The vcl printer is never asked about the available paper formats, this can be done with GetPaperInfo() / GetPaperInfoCount().
pb: accepted.
pb: too much effort to change now from static paper infos to the printer paperinfos. So we will running out of time -> OO Later. pb -> bh: please takeover, because this is an enhancement: Should we use our own paperinfos or use the printer paperinfos?
pb: wrong assignment.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
