Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 24281
Program crashes with error in NTDLL.DLL
Last modified: 2004-01-12 09:00:50 UTC
The program used to work fine but now something is causing a crash, and the errors lead back to NTDLL.DLL. I use CALC the most, so there is where I get the error, seemingly at random times, but often. I ran the 'repair' option but it didn't help anything. I wanted to uninstall/reinstall the program to see if that would help, but setup.exe crashes also, when using the Control Panel 'remove' option. The log file that is supposed to be created on the hard drive during the crash is not created, so I can't attach a copy. Is there a list of manual uninstall directions?
Looks like a change of your system causes this crash. I can't see this as an OOo issue at all. If your OOo setup application crashes you should remove the following files and folder: In your 'Application Data' folder you'll find the sversion.ini: it could be removed if you have only one OOo version on your computer. Otherwise edit this file and remove the 1.1.0 entry. Remove the OOo destination folders. Now you could reinstall OOo 1.1.0. For further support and information ask the mailing list users@openoffice.org.
I can't reproduce a crash on WinXP. Support and howto's on user@openoffice.org
