Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 24218
Display/printing mismatch
Last modified: 2004-01-12 10:36:10 UTC
Presentation is frequently not WYSIWYG. When printing a cell with a font OOo tells me will be used both for display and printing, the line breaks do not occur in the same places. Further, the printed cell is sized according to the on-screen line breaks, not the printed version. That is, a cell which occupies four lines on the screen may be printed with only three lines of text but will still occupy four lines on the printed page. Example to be attached. I believe I've seen the same result on Linux but can't verify at the moment.

Hi, this is not a bug. The page preview uses the printer metrics and this feature is switched off for the display under tools options spreadsheet general. If you switch it on, you get a WYSIWYG style also on the screen at developing time of the document. Frank
