Description ilovetobyte 2004-01-06 21:54:05 UTC
We don't normally install Java Runtime on our (5000) PCs. We have recently
begun converting some users to Open Office. When I install Open Office, I get
a message stating some functionality may not be available if we don't have Java
Runtime installed. Can anyone tell me what specific Open Office functionality
is not available if Java Runtime is not present on a PC? (Some sites
mention "accessibilty features"-could someone be more specific?) Is there
somewhere else I could have found this information on my own?

E.g. in FAQ:

http://www.bytebot.net/openoffice/faq.html#Installation1

http://www.openoffice.org/FAQs/faq-source.html#12

http://user-faq.openoffice.org/faq/ar01s04.html#JAVA

This is not issue - please use normal support ways to get answers for your
questions. The correct way is to read FAQ and if there is no answer, ask on
users@ooo.
