Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 24074
Help for MROUND function in Calc is incorrect
Last modified: 2004-12-03 10:00:19 UTC
The Help for MROUND [MROUND(Number; Multiple)] says, "The result is an integer that is the nearest integer multiple of the number." In fact, as the "multiple" can be a decimal, the result may also be a decimal. That is, the result is *not* always an integer. E.g., =MROUND(1.7; 0.5) results in 1.5. It may also be worth adding such an example using decimals to the Help.
"Integer" should be removed from the help text and an example that uses decimal should be added.
will change the text asap
Just wondering if this could possibly get into any releases earlier than 2.0? It's "only" documentation - but then again I probably don't understand what is involved in changing even that!
pls be patient. All Help files and hundreds of tools currently are re-invented based on xml. This needs some time. See http://documentation.openoffice.org/online_help/index.html
Excellent. Thank you for the explanation, and keep up the good work.
