Description jwagnerhankgraff 2003-12-29 22:46:11 UTC
I have a complex spreadsheet that has multiple sheets. It was produced by
another company and contains proprietary information, so I am unable to attach
it to this issue. I've tried simple functions to try to reproduce the problems,
but have not yet been able to do so. If you let me know what information you
need, I will provide it.

I've verified this problem on both XP with build 8693 and RedHat 7.3 with build
8639. The spreadsheet displays properly in Excel 2002, but does need the macro
security set to medium to function properly. Without macros running, there are
errors strewn around in Excel. (I'm guessing that this may be the cause, but
have set the macros in OO to always run and still nothing happens. I searched
for 511 and came up with very little - nothing that was of aid to me with this
problem.) I have the Java RunTime installed.

The documentation says an Error 511 indicates that a variable is missing. I do
not believe this to be the cause of this problem because I have verified the
number of arguments provided to several different functions this occurs on; see
attached graphic for one.

Without the bugdoc I could only guess whats going on, but I think that the
missing variable is defined by the macro which can't run in OOo. Macros from
MsOffice are imported as comments and could get reexported (if unchanged by
user)to MSOffice, but it is due to different basic languages not possible to run
them in OOo. Therefor I close this issue as invalid. If you don't agree because
this task descripes another problem, please reopen this task and add a more
detailed description or send the bugdoc directy to me (I will handle it
confidential)
