Description ssouthern 2003-12-29 01:11:50 UTC
During the registering components phase of the installation I get the
message "oleautobridge.uno.dll component was unable to be registered" with
retry/ignore/cancel. Retry does not work so I select ignore. The
installation then completes. However none of the programs loads correctly -
they do seem to load, but do not open windows. The oleautobridge.uno.dll file
resides in the c:\program files\openoffice.org1.1.0\program folder. I copied
it to c:\windows\system32 but with no luck. I have looked through the issues
register and help files to find a reference to this problem to no avail. Am a
bit lost as to what else I can try and appreciate any assistance you can give
me.

I can't reproduce on my Win98 SE machine. Installation is runing fine and
finishes without error messages. Have you checksummed your downloaded file?.
Please retry to download from
ftp://ftp.stardiv.de/pub/OpenOffice.org/stable/1.1.0/. These files are ok. For
further support please ask at users@openoffice.org. It's a mailing list that
might provide some help. You should give some additional informations about your
system: CPU, diskspace, OS, OS version, language, running processes and sorftware.
