Hi,

I've noticed that when using the Autopilot to create a Form everything works
well until you go to open the Form/document again.

If the last control on the Form was a Checkbox, then the Checkbox does not
display.

Attached to this issue is a simple dbase file. Copy this file to the Biblio
folder.

The document provided is the result of running the Autopilot against this
table.

That is simply use the autopilot to create a Form
Select all fields (which by defaults places the checkbox last)
Select the layout first button (Columnar - Labels Left)
Create the form

Close and reopen the form/document.

The checkbox is there but it is hidden.

If the form is created with the checkbox first then it works. So it appears
something goes astray when the checkbox is last.

Hope this helps

Kelvin

Hi kelvine,

I can see the invisible field in the attached bugdoc, however I can't reproduce
it with the formautopilot.

This is what I have done.

1. copy the attached Issue.dbf to the user/database/biblio folder
2. start OOo
3. start the formwizard from FILE/AUTOPILOT/FORM
4. select the datasource Bibliography and the table Issue
5. click the 'move all fields' button
6. click next
7. select 'columnar - labels left' arrangement
8. click create
9. click save in the 'save as' dialog.
=> the wizard is closed, only the form document is open.
10. close the form document with FILE/CLOSE
11. open the form document with FILE/OPEN

==>> all controls are visible.

What do I different from your proceeding?

Bye Marc

Hi Marc,

In order to see if it was just me I decided to remove everything I could.
Start as clean as possible and use your instructions to see if the problem
repeated.

I removed all data sources except the Bibliography data source. Deleted my
copy of the Issues.dbf file so that I could download the copy from this issue.

I then followed your steps.
I saved to the Desktop but that should not make a difference.

The result I get when I reopen is that I cannot see the checkbox field.
So from my perspective it is a repeatable problem. As usual however it could
just be my problem.

I did a checksum which showed the version 1.1.0 which I have is a valid
download.

I'm using OO1.1.0 (not the 'a' version.)
Running Windows XP Home.
I have downloaded and installed OO680m15 but since uninstalled it.
I also don't run with Quickstarter loaded.

Rather than spend too much time I will see if others on the dba list see the
same problem. This will identify if it is just me.

Thanks

Kelvin

Hi,

I just tested this on another faster, newer machine which has had very little
software installed and I could not duplicate my issue.

I decided to remove all previous versions of OOo (1.0, 1.0.3 and 1.1.0) and
reinstall OOo1.1.0. My gut feeling was that perhaps that developer version had
created an issue.

After the reinstall I could no longer duplicate the issue.

I will mark the issue as works for me.

Kelvin

At some point I will remove all versions of OpenOffice.org on my machine and
see if this fixes the problem.

Just thought I would let you know it could be specific to my machine. My only
concern is installing the m15 developer version may have done something.
