I confirm problem with 1.1.0 German version WIN98SE: 645m19(Build8693)

The problem disappeared after I deleted the table row with text "Rotated Bold"
and saved as ".doc" again.

The problem remains if I only set rotation to "0°" for both texts.

No, in OOo 1.1 I didnt have this problem.
I save using OOo 1.1 and can open in word correctly. but using OOo 1.1.1a it is
bugs, word opened as 2000+ pages.
so, it is regression.

Regression need to be considered for OOo 1.1.1

Hi utomo,

funny thing that you did not have that problem with 1.1. My suspect is, that the
epedimic flood of 1.1.1a bugs you found might be, that your (additionally?)
installed 1.1.1a does not have all useful preferences selections of your 1.1
installation. Unfortunately I do not have any good Idea how to check that in a
systematic way.

From where did you get your 1.1.1a? I would like to test with the same version
like you did.

utomo > rainer:
I didnt remember anymore where I download it, I think from ibbiblio. but I
didnt think my installer have rpoblem.

I think the problems is there but we didnt check it with systematic thing/more
intens, so we didnt find it.
just for info, that 100 issue I found/create, I found in about 10% of my
documents in my computer. how to test, tr to look at my posting in discuss
list.
http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=discuss&msgNo=32737

I think you better to check the issue which I reported using your own OOo, so
if it is not corect we can try to search the problem.
I will try to downlod OOo 1.1.1a from another source and give some trial only.
if same I will not continue it.

I hope we can get more better OOo 1.1.1, including delay the release if
necessary.

This only happens when you use Writer's character rotation" feature. Word does
not support this directly (only for whole table cells and sections). So Writer
has to workaround this when exporting to WW format. This does not work in this
case.
Has already been fixed in current OO 2.0 build. The next OOo 680 snapshot should
also have the fix.
Comment 11 michael.ruess 2004-01-27 11:04:23 UTC
Will also work better with OO 1.1.1.
