1. Create a table
2. In one of the cells, type "December 2003"
3. Move to a different cell
4. The text has changed to 1.12.2003

I ran into this problem on a under English Windows XP w/Norwegian region 
setting, but I suppose the problem is generic.

It may be possible to torture OO not to do this, but I didn't immediately find 
any configuration option to make it stop when I looked.

It's not defect, It's a feature.
- Go to Tools - Options - Text Document - Table - Input in tables.
- Disable Check-Box for Number recognition
