I have a problem with changing font color because it remains black (the default
color) even if I format the font using the command Format> Character or the Font
Color button. The problem is only on the display because i print the document,
the color formatting was printed. I also observed this problem in the
Presentation documents.

The cause should be the setting under Tools - Options - Accessibility.
Disable the checkbox "Use automatic font color for screen display"
