After following the McCreesh howto for connecting OO to MySql via odbc I get the
following results.
Every thing works just as the howto says up to page 9 . Right click on the
Tables sub menu only shows Administer Data Sources and SQL,nothing about New
table or view design.Left click on SQL causes crash,left click on Administer ...
works ok. Left click on Tables sub menu causes crash . All loaded
software(except OO) is the version as described in the howto.
The stack trace was sent to Sun. The stack trace is almost 400 lines long .

Hi,

As for as I can see in the tutorial (http://www.unixodbc.org/doc/OOoMySQL9.pdf)
the used version are a bit old. Please use unixODBC 2.2.7 and MyODBC 3.51.06.

Is the crash still present with the newer versions?

upgrade MyODBC ->   3.51.06 and
        unixODBC -> 2.2.7
