Lose of graphics in documents

This may be linked to issue 16297. Losing graphice files in word processor documents. This only happens after about 30 seconds after a SAVE is done. If you insert the graphics (.wmf, .jpg, etc...), SAVE and then exit OO straight away, and then open the document again the graphics are retained. If you SAVE and leave the document open for a period of time they begin to disappear (leaving the place holders/frames/anything else you did and showing a READ ERROR in the top LH corner. Thought this might help ??.

can still not confirm this issue. can you tell me your hardwaresettings? ram an cpu? maby this is a memory issue? what i did opend the last attached document changed some text saved waited for 10 min with this document open nothin happens. reopend the document, entered one of the images of the first attagement into this document -> saved the document and waited 15 minutes nothing happend. the document now is still open > 20 minues. both imagages still visible. my system p3 700mhz ram 512mb
My PC is a P4 17 gig and 512 mb of ram. Don't know if this would affect the document/problem but all files are stored on a network samba server ?. This problem is sometimes random as I also cannot reproduce this today witht he second attachment I sent you !. However, I can reproduce it on the first ZIPPED files I sent you (dated Dec 23). I simply opened the file, altered some text, saved, waited 2 minutes, went through the pages and all PICS are gone with READ-ERROR displayed in the top LH corner of the PIC frame/window. Password for this file is Goober69.
More info. After closing and then opening the file again (Dec 23) the PICS are actually deleted with no place holder or READ-ERROR there anymore. Only appears to be on inserted .wmf files. The few .jpg files are still intact at this stage. I will ZIP these altered files for you to have a look at. Please compare the OO document sent on Dec 23 with the one today to see the differences. Password is the same.

this is a known issue see issue 16297, this is not realy your issue, but your issue is related to this, also to internal bug 112192. the disappearence of the images depends on the password. this will be fixed in OOo1.1.1 final.
