Description arthit 2003-12-07 15:50:13 UTC
in each issue's page,
there's a link "Format for printing"

as its preferred functionality is
having a page that is suitable for printing in paper/hard copy,

the page should not include any navigation bar
(e.g. left nav bar and buttons at top, including "Jump to issue" input box),
which not neccessary for a printed out,
wasted paper space, and make it harder to read.

also it should not include any underlined links
(e.g. "Queries: _My issues_" or
"_New_ | _Query_ | _Reports_ | _My votes_ | _My issues_"),
which may decrease a readability of the page.

and for a line like
"--- Additional comments from _Santa_ Thu Dec 25 00:18:54 -0800 2001 ---"

in which _Santa_ (underlined "Santa") is a link for e-mail,
it may be useful to expand it to

"-- Additional comments from Santa (sclaus@xmas.me) Thu Dec 25 00:18:54 -0800
2001 ---"

so people who read it on paper, can know an e-mail address under the link.

----

more about "Additional comments":

for a more convinience in referencing,
each comment should has its own "number".
like this:

  Comment #1 from Bettina Haberer Tue Jul 17 00:18:54 -0800 2001

  Reassigned to Wolfram.

  Comment #2 from wg Fri Aug 3 06:48:51 -0800 2001 -------

  Hi,
I can reproduce this bug in version 632 but not in an actual one.

  Comment #3 from wg Tue Nov 27 03:24:45 -0800 2001 -------

  Bug closed

so when talking about wg's comment,
we can know which one, #2 or #3.

this, more or less, means more productivity.

----

Also, it would be nice,
if the page can have a small "timestamp" (of the time of querying),
at the top or the bottom of the page, for a reference.

This capability, to view a read-only version of an issue suitable for
printing, has been addressed in the Mississippi release of SourceCast.

This feature is available in Project Tracker. PT allows a user to view the
read-only format of an issue. Setting the PT marker in SWB.

CollabNet Support is currently reviewing the issues under Resolved-Later. If the
issues are fixed currently in any of the present CEE releases, then it will be
marked as Resolved-Fixed.

There might be a few issues which might not be in our future roadmap which might
be closed as Wontfix unless it does not lie under any custom request.
Comment 7 Unknown 2009-01-23 08:38:21 UTC
It is available currently in Project Tracker. Marking this as fixed.
