Description ewdyke 2003-12-05 14:21:39 UTC
I am trying to install OO 1.1 on a Windows 2000 server w/Service Pack 4. I have
extracted the zip file into a directory. When I browse that directory and
double-click on Setup.exe, the unpack status bar is displayed. When the unpack
is complete, setup stops. There are no dialog boxes displayed. I have checked
the Windows event log and there are no errors there. I installed this on my
Windows 2k SP4 workstation 2 weeks ago without a problem. I have checked the
md5sums and verifed that the zip file is complete. When installing I am logged
on as a user with Admin authority.

I am stuck!

I have no idea. On my Win2000 with SP4 OOo 1.1.0 never cause any
trouble. As you've described, the installation files are ok, you have
successfully installed OOo on a different system. I see two possible
causes: Your system configuration in general or Win2000 Server.
of -> jsk: Do you have any expiriences like this with a W2K server?

I cannot reproduce this either. I suggest downloading the OOo-zipfile again,
maybe the file is somehow corrupted (and this i have seen before).

I set it to Worksforme/Closed. If the problem persist we can reopen the task.
