Description fa 2003-12-04 19:19:19 UTC
Steps:

1) Open new writer document, make sure
Tools->Autocorrect/Autoformat->Options->URL Recognition is _ON_
2) Type Http://www.macnn.com/kdkdkdkd;adfklja dflajkdf;j;;dfkjla <<< note the
space, keep it
3) Hit return
4) start typing, URL autorecognition does not stop even on another line.
5) place cursor BEFORE the http://
6) Hit return a couple times
7) place cursor at top of document
8) start typing, URL autorecogntion STILL is not off, even a few lines up from
the http://

If you delete the entire text, URL recognition is _still_ on, but times out
after about 30 seconds.

Another way to trigger it:

1) In a new document, type "here"
2) select the word "here" and hit the "Hyperlink Dialog" button the
toolbar
3) Type in "http://www.google.com" for the "Target:" item
4) Hit Apply, then Close
5) place cursor behind the word "here" which should now be a hyperlink
6) Continue typing, its all a hyperlink
7) Hit return. Its all _still_ a hyperlink
8) Place cursor before "here' and hit return, try typing above it,
still a hyperlink
Comment 2 fa 2003-12-04 19:24:33 UTC
Possible solution might be to be able to hit CTRL+Space or CTRL+Return
to terminate the hyperlink

OOo handles hyperlinks like a character formatting (you can modify a hyperlink
over "Format - Character - [Hyperlink]").
Thus it works like bold, underline, etc.
To stop the hyperlink format, you can:
- type the Right cursor key at the end of the line
or
- execute "Format - Standard"
or
- apply another charcter style
or
- select the next character and delete the hyperlink under "Format - Character -
[Hyperlink]"
