Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 23153
Faults in editing/printing footer
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:15:02 UTC
If you have more than a few words on the right or left field of the footer - editingwindow , 1st.[feature request]) You cannot align them to the field 2nd) if there is something like a sentence, this sentence will be printed as long as it could be printed. It gives a sh***t (sorry not shure how to write this alternativly) on previously defined page margins. We tried to insert spaces <0x20> and linefeeds to "format" this, but it seems that it makes what it likes. The printer is a HP LaserJet 2200 DT with 2200 Series PS driver, the printout to pdf has the same behaviour.
Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test it/faster to confirm. (Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily/need more time) Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is small, but we still able to see the problem.

Hi Daniel, as discussed this one is for you. Excel seems to be not capable to deal with margins for Header / Footer correctly. Frank
Accepted. E*cel does not allow to modify the left/right margin of the header/footer. This has to be "implemented" in the filters.
fixed in src680/dr19. The left/right position of headers/footers will be set to the default positions that Excel uses (approx. 19-20 mm), with one restriction: Calc does not support to set the left margin of headers/footers before the left begin of the page itself, and similar for the right margin. That means, headers/footers in Calc can be at most as wide as the page area.
