when I try to connect to cvsup service I get 
"Premature EOF from server"

mh->st: are we running cvsup over ssh tunnel or directly ?

all: it's also not available if try to connect directly.

Martin, cvsup is not accessed via tunnel but directly. For the
production site access is restricted to certain IP address ranges.

Yes, it needs to be accessed directly.  

Found we did not have the firewall opened for solstage2.  It is open 
now.  Please verify.
