Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2295
Bad computation of Page Height box
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:30:04 UTC
When starting OpenOffice.org, click "Format" menu, and choose the "Page" command to set up a page. If in the Width box, we use a letter such as "a", the value will be kept as the original one. But if we set the value as "a/2", when we click "OK" of the "Page" dialog, the value will be specified as "2.14" (after click "OK"). There should be a default value in OpenOffice for all the letters input by this way. Our suggestion is: either the letters can't be input in this box, or the division sign -- "/" can't be used in this box

In the description, I forgot to change "Width" into "Height". I need to find a way to modify it. Anyway, this issue is about the "Height" box in the "Page" tab.
In these boxes you may enter numbers, decimal seperator and unit (cm, mm, ...), therefore there is no limit what characters may be entered. When something "useless" is entered, the box should keep the old value, as it does when "a" is enterd. IMHO, there is no point to enable these boxes to calculate, therefore something like "a/2" or whatever should keep the old value, too. Reassigned to Malte.

Lets see...
IMHO Nothing for OOo 1.1
MT->SSA: No idea if we want to fix...
SSA: reassign to HDU, implementing some input validation might be a useful feature
.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
