Created attachment 11558 [details] Screenshot of a document saved as "TOPIC:"
Hi PBEA, thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice... I tried this with an oldfile and saved it to "TOPIC:"... On the attached screenshot you can see: it works for me... please attach the affected file...
Hi PBEA, Maybe this helps: Writer displays the content of the title field in the Window title. you can find this in "File" -> "Properties"-> Tab "Description"... Only if this field is empty Writer display the documentname... set to WORKSFORME...
Created attachment 11573 [details] TOPIC in TitleBar, FileName in Save
Thank You for your attention to this issue. I may be misunderstnading your reply. The doc was not originally saved as "TOPIC:'. This name showed up after the doc was already saved at least a few times after editing. I could not wait for the auto SAVE to engage but it displays something like "Do you want to save TOPIC:" The save is done as the regular filename but the GUI displays the word TOPIC: in place of the already saved legal filename.
Hi PBEA, please check the described "title" filed in the File-Properties... it seems that there the String "TOPIC:"... remove it... Writer should now show the original filename...
Hi pbea, since there's no more input from you I assume this works now... set to worksforme...
