I want to be able to annotate over the top of my presentation by using the 
Freeform line tool to write on it.  However each time I release the mouse (or 
lift the pen on my graphics tablet) the freeform line tool is deselected and 
the select tool becomes active meaning I have to reselect the tool for every 
character.  OO.o Drawing doesn't do this, the selection of the tool is 
persistent until I unselect it.

Please try to double click the tool button. Double clicking it keeps
the function until another function is selected.
