Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2268
Open Previous infinate loop when file doesn't exist
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
If you try to open a file listed in the "history" under the File menu that no longer exsists, OpenOffice will pop up a warning saying that it couldn't find the file, when you hit ok it pops up the same warning again. The only way to get out of the loop is to recreate the file it's looking for.
Not reproducible in 641. Please verify your findings in Build 641 on your system and comment. Thank you.
What Linux distribution? Please verify in a younger version, comment and reassign it to me. THX Reassigned to submitter
I am running RedHat 7.1. I don't believe that there is anything special about my setup, I'm not sure why you are having problems reproducing this. I may have selected the wrong version when I submitted this. This is happening with 641, with 638 it behaves a little differently. With 638 if you save a file with the program, then delete the file you just saved, then try to reopen it using the programs history an error will pop up "/path/file does not exist." with an ok button. If you hit OK the error will pop up again, if you hit it one more time a Select Filter dialog pops up. With 641 using the same technique, I get the error message "Error loading document file://path/file: /path/file does not exist." With an OK button. Hitting OK brings up the same error no matter how many times you hit it.
Joerg, please have a look at internal BugID:92203. Reassigned.

I cannot reproduce this. Neither OO nor SO in recent builds have this issue.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
