Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 22554
characters in the pdf author field
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:20:18 UTC
Using OpenOffice.org 1.1 in Mandrake 9.1 (and also using the 1.1 Spanish version in W2k) I have seen that the pdf field author allows less characters than the other pdf fields. I guess this is a bug, since the pdf author field should allow the same number of characters that the other fields (subject, title and keywords). Thanks for your work, Pablo
Could you please explain what you mean by PDF author field ?
cp->pl: hmmm, I've quite no clue what that means. However, please check that out with ousia
.
pl->pb: The autor property gets filled from the user data in tools options. So i think he wants the edit fields in there to accept more characters.
On Linux, this field isn't being filled in at all for PDF document export. I have my information keyed into the Tools area, and it should pick up that name and put it into the PDF "Author" field.
Linux is the OS reported to have the bug (I haven't checked that on Linux). To get pdf author information, go to file properties and delete it in general. Then it will show it right. By the way, thanks to drichard I have realized that the problem isn't the pdf author field itself, but OOo's author field. If the author field is inserted in the text, the text displayed don't allow more than 31 characters. I guess that the issue should be reassigned, but I don't know how to do it. Could someone be so kind to do it for me? Many thanks for your help and sorry for the inconveniences, Pablo
Both Linux and Windows (version 680_m58) don't allow more than 31 characters in OOo's author field, although the user data allow more characters. This should be fixed to allow more characters in the author field.
Would it be possible that the author field would as many characters as other information fields such as title, subject and keywords. It would be very helpful to remove the 31 character limit.
