Description sforbes 2003-11-17 10:20:34 UTC
A presentation with a Hebrew file name was created with office 2003 on windows 2003.

When opened with impress, it displays ok. However, the file does not get added
to the recent file list in the file menu.

A sample file is attached.

I can't reproduce the bug.
After loading and saving the file again the Hebrew file name is in the pick list
in the file menu.

English UI, Hebrew support. OOo locale settings is Hebrew.

>Please give me a step by step description how to save the file.

* open Powerpoint 2003
* Create a new file
* File--save: type a file name in Hebrew and save (default extention)
* OpenOpen Office
* drag and drop the file from windows explorer to OOo work area
* View the file (no editing, just viewing)
* Close the file
* Look at the FILE menu- the file that you just viewed isn't present

This is not a feature but an enhancement.
An internal bug for changing this behaviour still exist.
We change the behaviour as soon as possible.
Duplicate to the internal bug 115850
Comment 9 wolframgarten 2005-04-11 10:26:45 UTC
Closing as works for me as Issuezilla does not accept internal bug ids.
