When selecting 'character', staroffice opens the window and simultanously 
starts to save. At '99% saved' staroffice crashes.

tested on 166 Mhz pentium 64Mb memory

Please be more precise because I can not reproduce this.

Has the file been saved before? Do you select a character with <Shift>+<Arrow key> or with the 
mouse? Do you click "Format - Character"? Or Right mouse button - "Character"? 
A step-by-step description could do the trick because a description "selecting character" is too 
fuzzy. Please comment.
