Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 22399
Saved Calc Template cannot be used
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:15:02 UTC
I created a default template for Spreadsheet by opening a default new spreadsheet, selecting the whole sheet 1, change column width to 1.00 inches, saved with File->Templates->Save, named it Default Spreadsheet. Went back to Template Organizer, set that template to default, closed the spreadsheet, then clicked File->New->Spreadsheet. I got a dialog to Import Lotus Files, selecting a character set. I clicked ok, no changes to selection. Next appeared an error message, "Error loading document file:///J:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Matt%20Needles/Application%20Data/OpenOffice.org680/user/template/Default%20Spreadsheet.stc: Read-Error. Unknown Lotus1-2-3 file format."
Hi Andreas, I think it's yours. Frank
Set the target. Prio2 is Ok because Calc will not work with a default template set in this way. Frank
Sorry - but this couldnt be reproduced by me. Please try to load normal "*.stc" files via "File->Open". If it fails too - might your installation is damaged. ReInstall your office! Dont use "setup -repair". Not all errors inside our filter configuration can be repaired by the setup :-(
.
Hi Andreas, checked it with an internal 680m14s1. The problem that you can't reset the default template is solved there. But the problem with the filterdetection itself persists. So this is clearly your construction site and has to be fixed. Frank ps Opening the saved STC file via File Open dialog opens the document as stc.
Additional clarifications: I can create a new spreadsheet when opening the template, and I can edit the template from the organizer. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is using the template as default. This same template works fine as default in 1.1.0, though. Something has been broken in the transition.
clearing out the worksforme

OK - after testing some other office version I could reproduce it. Will be fixed on the cws[filtercfg], which is currently in progress.
With our new implemented detection it works more correctly .. of course it depends from the configuration (means flat detection). If its correupted or wrong ... it can fail further too. But then it fails in general for stc files!
AS->PJ: Please verify it on my cws filtercfg. THX.
Verified in CWS filtercfg
Seems to work now in CWS filtercfg
AS:Because the cws was resynced and changed, we have to check this bug fix again. THX.
The Child workspace comprehending this bug was changed. The fix could be impacted. Reopen bug and reset 'verified' flag .
Still seems to work in CWS filtercfg
PJ: OK in master src680_m27
