Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2239
Unrecoverable bug, permanently crashes word processor
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
When using Master Document (word processor) on Windows NT, I used the Find- Replace feature. This caused the application to hang. I shut it down, and when I tried to start the program again, it automatically tries to take me back to what I was doing, therefore it hangs again (shows a blank Find-Replace window, and the StarOffice splashscreen window). There's no obvious way to avoid the problem, so I cannot use the application. I tried "Repair" with the reinstall, but this didn't change anything. Here are the details that I remember just before the problem -- since I can't start the app, I can't reproduce it for this bug report (I suppose, until I reinstall completely). I selected "attributes", then deselected it to select another option that is two lines down -- sorry, I don't remember what it is. Joseph Potvin
Please give a hint about what "other" platform you use. OO does not run on your CPU directly, does it? ;-)

Sorry for double-posting, sometimes the server seems to hang and memorizes changes although not showing them... The flag was forgotten to set but the description gave a hint. I set the flag.
Pease verify your findings in a recent build (from December). If it strill occurs, attach the file and reassign the issue to me. Thanks.
Joseph, if the problem still exists in OOo 1.0.1, feel free to reopen this issue. Closing issue. Unable to duplicate on Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 1.0.1.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
