Description drmajorbob 2003-11-12 13:19:59 UTC
In SO7, possessives like "butterfly's", "telepath's", "Megan's" don't divide
properly at the end of lines when auto-hyphenation and fancy apostrophes are
being used. They extend into the white space both onscreen and on the printer.

This worked properly in SO6.

Adding an optional hyphen fixes the problem (except for leaving the overhang
into white space as an artifact until the screen is scrolled up and down or
otherwise refreshed). In each case the word should be divided there anyway, so
adding an optional hyphen shouldn't matter.

Sometimes the line is divided at the apostrophe, and it doesn't appear fancy, as
it should. Or the word stretches into the white space and, again, the apostrophe
is plain. In both cases, "s" after the apostrophe is the first character on the
next line.

"I was using plain apostrophes and when I changed the fancy (U2019) I
could reproduce your error. In addition, if I started wiith plain and
then did find & and replace with fancy, the error was introduced so
that won't even serve as a work around.

.... It's not just XP, I'm using Win 98."
