after typing a paragraph, I highlight it and click on "font color" icon to
change the color . However, the color stays on the original black. I have tried
the same with "Spreadsheet", and it seems to work fine.
OpenOffice 1.1
Windows XP Pro
Athlon 1400+ XP
Matrox Millenium G400 graphic card (just installed the latest dirver version).

Interesting though, the same OO1.1 on my other PC with Linux Redhat 9.1 system,
there the color remains on the last modification made, and it refuses to change
back to  other  font colors.

Please explain more about your problem, your information is not enough 
to investigate the problem. Please explain step by step.

i can not reproduce this here.

winxp
suse linux 8.2

- typing some text
- marked the text
- clicked on the font color icon in the objectbar
-> color changed to the selected

There are several reports in IssueZilla that show font color issues.
Two show work arounds: Issue 13520 and Issue 21307. Do either resolve
this one?

Reported responded directly to the IZ email and there stated that the
notes in Issue 13520 resolved this issue.
