Description Unknown 2001-11-18 05:08:16 UTC
Description : While trying to find a word in open office presentation slide
using Find and Replace , an error message comes as “ Search Key not found”, if
the word searched is not entered in the “Search for” field exactly same as in
presentation slide or the word is not available in slide text boxes. If the
Find button is clicked again and again without clicking the error message
dialog box’s “OK” button, it generates error message dialog boxes as many times
the “Find” button was clicked. In this condition if the “Find and Replace”
dialog box is closed by clicking the “close” button and clicking on OK button
of any of the error message dialog boxes, gives an unrecoverable error message
and program closes files automatically.

The issue can be replicate using the following steps:

1.	Open the Openoffice presentation part.
2.	Insert some text in the slide.
3.	You may save the file.
4.	Click the “Edit” button from the main menu bar.
5.	Select “Find and Replace” from the pull down menu.
6.	Insert a word in the “Search for” field which is not in the slide text
(You can insert a word which is available in the slide but with different
case) .
7.	Place the cursor at the beginning of the text box of the slide.
8.	An error message will pop up as “ Search key not found”.
9.	Click “Find” button in the “Find and Replace” window without clicking
the OK button of the error message window.
10.	Notice that another error message window appears with the same message.
( Check for this new error message by clicking and dragging the
error message dialog boxes. Note: Old error message dialog box goes
behind the “find and replace” dialog box.)
11.	Keep on Clicking the Find button and notice that for every click of
Find button there is an error message window.
12.	Now Close the Find and Replace window clicking the Close button.
13.	Click Ok buttons of error message windows.
14.	An error message will appear as “ An unrecoverable error has occurred”
and window closes automatically for restart.

End
