Open the Gallery
Make new Theme - select a Gallery folder which contains a format which contains
CorelDraw *.CPT 's. The unusable format is shown in the list (but it shouldn't
be shown). If you click "insert all" or "preview" when a *.cpt is selected, Oo
says bye bye.

Hello Foxboy,
does the cpt format appear in the file type drop down box on the
files-tabpage of the theme properties box? I had a look there but
could'nt find it. Would it be possible to attach a screenshot? Thanks.
Comment 2 foxboy 2003-10-30 14:30:54 UTC
No! The Format itself isn't supported by Openoffice. But hence it
isn't supported, Openoffice shouldn't try to open such a file. It
shouldn't even show it in the files list. And no - it isn't in the
drop-down-file-format-list-thing-menu. ;)

The CPT files I have in my directory (I have JPG's, GIF's, CPT's and
CDR's and BMP's) are displayed as selectable graphics.

Example: Tell Oo to just show the BMP-Files. Only BMP Files will be
displayed. Tell Oo to show JPG's - JPG's are displayed.
Now tell Oo to show all possible files (not *.* but all Oo-compatible
Files, all the ones that are possible to copy into a document or into
the gallery - the first option in the scrolldown list). And voila -
the CPT's show up. They shouldn't!

Sorry, I cannot reproduce this. I select the first entry of the drop
down box, what is :<All Files>
(*.bmp;*.dxf;*.emf;*.eps;*.gif;*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.jfif;*.jif;*.met;*.pbm;
*.pcd;*.pct;*.pcx;*.pgm;*.png;*.ppm;*.psd;*.ras;*.sgf;*.sgv;*.svm;*.tga;
*.tif;*.tiff;*.wmf;*.xbm;*.xpm;*.wav;*.aif;*.au).
But just the shown formats are listed, no cpt that are in the
directory. Could you please attach one of your cpt's, maybe they are
the reason.
Thanks.

Well - these Files are older Photopaint Files. It doesn't matter if
they can't be read. Oo just shouldn't display them, that's all.

Thanks for this.
I have not a crash with this file, OO just says: "Nonexistent object.
Path to the file does not exist". But it should not be displayed in
the filelist at all.

Reassigned to Kai. Please have a look.
Comment 9 ooo 2004-02-09 09:08:02 UTC
accepted for OOo 2.0
Comment 10 Marcus 2017-05-20 11:29:41 UTC
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".

With AOO 4.x, CPT is no longer current available in proposed formats. So to insert *.CPT, you must force this extension in dialog box.

If you try to insert attached file, no crash but it appears in Gallery as blank frame.

If I drag and drop this file on the document, the picture is correctly display.
