Description vardamir 2003-10-30 01:38:47 UTC
In Linux, the fly-in slide transitions are much slower in Linux than in
Windows; I have tested this on SuSE and Gentoo Linux and WindowsXP on my Dell
Inspiron laptop running Xfree86 4.3 with nvidia drivers. If you need further
information please email me at bebark2@uky.edu.

Reassigned to Christian.
Comment 2 christian.guenther 2003-10-30 09:07:47 UTC
I can't reproduce the bug.
The effect looks a little bit different because of the different
screen handling of Windos and Linux but the speed is the same.
Please attach a document which shows the bug.

I can't reproduce the bug.
Is the hardware acceleration is switched on in your Linux?
Comment 5 vardamir 2003-11-13 18:01:07 UTC
All I can remember is that the nvidia drivers were enabled and
hardware 3d acceleratioin worked. I'm not sure if this is what you
were looking for or not though.

Please tell me which desktop and which window manager do you use.
I tested it with the KDE desktop and the KDE window manager; and I tested it
also with the Gnome desktop and the metacity windo manager. Both works fine.
Comment 7 byte 2004-01-23 03:13:37 UTC
Tested with the GNOME desktop, with metacity, and also with NVIDIA drivers
(Nvidia Riva TNT 32mb vga card), and it worked just fine. Test machine was
running Fedora Core 1. So, I can't reproduce the bug.
Comment 8 christian.guenther 2004-03-08 11:06:10 UTC
I testet the bug on severel linux with several windowmanager but I still can't
reproduce the bug.
Therefore I set the resolution to works for me.
Comment 9 christian.guenther 2004-03-08 11:07:33 UTC
I close the issue as works for me.
Please reopen the issue if you still can reproduce the bug.
