Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 21896
Slow slide fly-in transitions.
Last modified: 2004-03-08 11:07:33 UTC
In Linux, the fly-in slide transitions are much slower in Linux than in Windows; I have tested this on SuSE and Gentoo Linux and WindowsXP on my Dell Inspiron laptop running Xfree86 4.3 with nvidia drivers. If you need further information please email me at bebark2@uky.edu.
Reassigned to Christian.
I can't reproduce the bug. The effect looks a little bit different because of the different screen handling of Windos and Linux but the speed is the same. Please attach a document which shows the bug.
Created attachment 10792 [details] The document where the bug occurred.
I can't reproduce the bug. Is the hardware acceleration is switched on in your Linux?
All I can remember is that the nvidia drivers were enabled and hardware 3d acceleratioin worked. I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for or not though.
Please tell me which desktop and which window manager do you use. I tested it with the KDE desktop and the KDE window manager; and I tested it also with the Gnome desktop and the metacity windo manager. Both works fine.
Tested with the GNOME desktop, with metacity, and also with NVIDIA drivers (Nvidia Riva TNT 32mb vga card), and it worked just fine. Test machine was running Fedora Core 1. So, I can't reproduce the bug.
I testet the bug on severel linux with several windowmanager but I still can't reproduce the bug. Therefore I set the resolution to works for me.
I close the issue as works for me. Please reopen the issue if you still can reproduce the bug.
