Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 21816
changes to one table overwrite data in other tables of a spreadsheet
Last modified: 2003-10-29 08:52:17 UTC
I have three table per document. When I change a cell in one table, the corresponding cell (e.g.C4) is overwritten with this data in the other tables of this document as well.
Hi, this is not a valid bugreport ! There is no information given how to reproduce, no document that shows such behaviour. How should we determin if it's a bug or not ? Be more precise ! Have you selected all tables (all tabsheet names have white background) ? Are the cells on the other sheets linked to the first one ? How should we know ? Frank
I tried to reproduce it but now it works as expected. Cells are definetely not linked across tables. Here is what happened although I know it won't help you much. I started a document with OO1.0 some time ago. I updated to OO1.1 and worked some more with the document. It has three tables. Data gets copied(but not linked) back and forth between table 2 and table 3 of this one document. I noticed that once I selected line x in table three and changed the background color, the background color for the same! line had changed in table two of that document although table two holds completely different data at this line. Even worse, when I changed the content of a cell in a particular line in table two, this newly added data appeared in table three at the same line no / cell. I cannot reproduce it right now. So delete the issue if you feel like it is invalid. I appreciate your effort so far. I will post additional details once I can reproduce the bug(?). Sebastian
Hi Sebastian, as neither you nor I can reproduce this Issue and no one else ever had such a problem I close this one as worksforme. If this problem hits you again and you have not selected two or more Sheets at this time and a Repaint (CTRL+SHIFT+R) does not solve the problem, feel free to re-open this Issue and add as much info as possible. Thanks for your co-operation. Frank
