OO hangs on import of Microsoft Word document, also as RTF

OO 1.1. hangs on importing the attached Microsoft Word 2000 document. This also occurs when the document is first saved as RTF from within Word. Perhaps there's something wrong with the file; when the RTF is reopened in Word, Word reports an error ("cannot read formatting").

RH9/1.1.0/2.30GHz/512 RAM There was a delay, but the document opened. The progress bar reached 100% in a matter of seconds -- approximately 30 seconds after that, the document was loaded. Can you provide more information?
I can open the file in word XP. without any problem. I can Reproduce the problem on OpenOffice 1.1 (default Install, US), Win XP Pro Sp1. (And MS Office XP Sp2). Duron 1 GHZ, 256 MB It is real problem I open the file, after reaching 100%, more than 1 minutes stil not open Change OS to all, as I test in win XP.
What sort of "more information" exactly do you mean, Tamblyne? I used OO 645m19, Build 8693. Here's the configuration of two of the PCs that I've had this problem with: - Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo 660, Pentium 4, 2.53 GHz, 755 MB RAM, both with SuSE 8.2 and Windows XP home, - ACER TravelMate 332T, Mobile Pentium II, 365 MHz, 313 MB RAM, SuSE 8.2

MRU->CMC: Writer loops while formatting. But there already some assertions "Why get SprmId with pSp of 0". For the case the loop is insisted by these errors, it should be fixed there before the issue might be handed over to FME.

Hmm, I will fix the asserts first in issue 22108, and we will follow up on the hang after that.
cmc->fme: There are no asserts in SRC680m18, but this document still ping-pongs around in layout and never completes layout.

FME: This was a hard one. Fixed in sw/source/core/layout/tabfrm.cxx rev. 1.48.48.1 sw/source/core/layout/pagechg.cxx rev. 1.30.102.1 cws fmebugs01
FME->QA: There are about one million assertions coming from svtools. This should be fixed in cws os19 . I can give you a svtools dll with the fix if you want.

Verified with CWS build for OO 2.0.
