support, please add this key to the server thanks Louis
I've filed an internal task for the operations group to add this key to the server. I'll update this issue when the task has been completed
the task is complete
When using a console to implement command ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org tunnel@openoffice.org's password is returned I don't get asked for the pass phrase. The file newkey.pub is in my user directory /home/ian and the content matches that of the attachment newkey.pub here.
you need to alter your ssh command to include your key w/ the "-i keyfile" option
Sorry but you need to alter your ssh command to include your key w/ the "-i keyfile" option means nothing to me. In what way do I need to include the key in the command ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org The above command is my only contact ever with SSH and I use Linux generally through the KDE GUI, not the command line.
Ian, I think kenneth was referring to this in the man pages for ssh2: " -i identity_file Selects a file from which the identity (private key) for RSA or DSA authentication is read. The default is $HOME/.ssh/identity for protocol version 1, and $HOME/.ssh/id_rsa and $HOME/.ssh/id_dsa for protocol version 2. Identity files may also be specified on a per-host basis in the configuration file. It is possible to have multiple -i options (and multiple identi- ties specified in configuration files)." As you have renamed your key "newkey" your machine does not know what to do, as the default is "id_dsa". thus, you can do this: ssh -2 -x -i newkey -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org try it. meanwhile, I'll upload the pages you need. You can also make life easier for yourself by deleting the old key and associated files ("rm -v .ssh/*) and starting over again. I actually recommend this. louis
